About FEDERCOMIN FEDERCOMIN is the Italian Federation for companies and associations in the telecommunication, broadcasting and information technology industries. It is the ICT sectorial Federation of the Italian Confederation of Industries (Confindustria). Federcomin represents nine Associations - Aiip (internet providers), AITech (information technologies), Anasin (software and IT), Asas (space related applications), Assinform, Assocertificatori (digital signature), Fedoweb (web portals), FRT (radio and television broadcast) and Clusit (IT security) - and their associated companies among which: Accenture, Albacom, Business Solutions,Cosmic, eBay Italia, EDS, Elsag, Engineering, Enterprise Digital Architects,Etnoteam, Finsiel, Getronics Solutions Italia, Global Value, Gruppo COS, IBMItalia, Infracom Italia, Italtel, Lottomatica, Mediaset, Microsoft Italia, Netscalibur Italia, Netsystem, NextiraOne Italia, Nortel Networks, Rai, Rai Way, Sat Expo, Sky Italia, Symantec, Telecom Italia, Telespazio, Tim. In Italy, Federcomin participates in the activity of committees and working groups organised by various bodies, such as: the Ministries of Communications,Industry, Innovation and Technology, Research and Education; the National Council of Labour and Economy; the Telecommunication National Regulatory Authority; the Information Society Forum (Office of the Prime Minister) and Confindustria. Federcomin takes part in the activities of UNICE (Union of Industrial and Employers' Confederations of Europe - Working groups on WTO), the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD, the Kangaroo working group on information society of the European Parliament.Federcomin is also member of the European Internet Foundation (European Parliament). Federcomin: represents members' common interests regarding Italian, European and International Institutions; promotes and elaborates studies on relevant issues; contributes to building a new economic policy that creates the environment for the ICT industry to flourish. Because of the economic, technological and occupational characteristics of its members FEDERCOMIN has achieved an unprecedented position in the sector in terms of size and competencies.Federcomin represents today about 1.000 enterprises, with an annual turnover of 70 billion Euro.
