Biografy

In 2005 Angela Sara Cacciapuoti received the engineering degree summa cum laude (highest score) in Telecommunications Engineering and, in 2009, the Ph.D. degree with a qualification of excellent (highest score) in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, both from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy.
From September 2010 to May 2011, she was a visiting researcher at the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory (BWNLab), Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. From June 2011 to July 2011, she was a visiting researcher at the NaNoNetworking Center in Catalunya (N3Cat), School of Electrical Engineering, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. In November 2011 and in 2012, she joined again the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory as a visiting researcher.
Currently, Angela Sara Cacciapuoti is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (DIETI) , University of Naples Federico II.
She is a IEEE Senior Member and she has been appointed to IEEE ComSoc YP Board. Since 2014, she is serving as Area Editor of Computer Networks (Elsevier) Journal.
Her research activities lie in the area of statistical signal processing, digital communications, and communication systems. In particular, her current research interests are in Internet of Things, Intra-Body NanoNetworks and Cognitive Radio Networks.
