Angela Sara Cacciapuoti
In 2005 Angela Sara Cacciapuoti received the engineering degree summa cum laude (highest score) in Telecommunications Engineering and, in 2009, the Ph.D. degree with a qualification of excellent (highest score) in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, both from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy.
From September 2010 to May 2011, she was a visiting researcher at the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory (BWNLab), Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. From June 2011 to July 2011, she was a visiting researcher at the NaNoNetworking Center in Catalunya (N3Cat), School of Electrical Engineering, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. In November 2011 and in 2012, she joined again the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory as a visiting researcher. During the aforementioned visiting periods, Angela Sara Cacciapuoti worked under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz. .
Currently, Angela Sara Cacciapuoti is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (DIETI) at the University of Naples Federico II. She is a member of the IEEE.
Her research activities lie in the area of statistical signal processing, digital communications, and communication systems. In particular, her current research interests are in NanoNetworks and Cognitive Radio Networks.
PhD/PostDoc Positions Available
I am currently looking for self-motivated PhD students and/or postdoctoral fellows willing to work in the interdisciplinary area of wireless communications. A good math background is needed. Knowledge on wireless communications, signal processing are most welcome.
