Biographical SketchCarlo Cosentino was born in Naples (Italy) on the 18th of November in 1978. He is currently resident in Aversa, a city situated 15km north of Naples and 20km south-west of Caserta (you should know Caserta because of its famous Royal Palace). However, during the week he lives in Catanzaro Lido, a nice town situated on the Ionian sea in the region of Calabria, about 400 Km south of Naples. He attended the Liceo Scientifico "E. Fermi" (High School) in Aversa and received the Diploma di Maturità (School Leaving Certificate) in 1996 (score 60/60). He received the Laurea degree (cum Laude) in Computer Engineering in October 2001, and the PhD in Computer and Automation Engineering in January 2005, both from University of Naples Federico II. Since March 2006 he is assistant professor of control engineering at University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro. He co-authored more than 50 scientific publications appeared in books, journals and international conferences, participated to international and national research projects and collaborates with several researchers, both in Europe and in USA. His main research interests are in the field of Systems and Control Theory, Systems Biology, Biomechatronics. |
