Normative activity

• Prime Minister Council: member of the National Board for the Seismic Reclassification of National Territory and New Ruling System (drawing in January 2003).
• Member of the CNR Advice Board on building rules, since 2002.
• Eurocode 8 (Structures in Seismic Regions): Project Team 2 European Expert for the European Seismic Rule final drawing, 1999.
• Coordinator of the CNR Group drawing the new rule on steel-concrete composite structures (CNR 10016), from 1996 to 1999 (editing the final draft of the rule approved in 2000).
• Member of the “Steel Structures” UNI Commission, from 1995 to 1999.
• Comitè Euro-International du Béton (CEB): member of the Joint CEB-FIP Group "Transition of EC2 from ENV to EN", 1995-1999; member of the T.G. 2.2 "Ductility Requirements" from 1990 to 1998; member of the T.G. 2.4 "Serviceability Models" from 1996 to 1997; member of the T.G. 2.5 (TG 4.5 since 1998) "Bond Models" since 1996.
• Eurocode 4 (Composite steel-concrete structures): member of the ad-hoc Monitoring Group, Eurocode 4: Part 1.1, 1993-1997; Liaison Engineer and Italian National Deputy for EC4: Part 1.1, since 1990.
• CNR and Italian Standardization Board: Member of CNR “Steel” Commission, from 1987 to 1999.
• Member of the CNR Group "Building using Composite materials”.
