About me
I was born in Rome in 1979. I graduated from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2002, where I earned a degree in Theoretical Physics with distinctions ("Laurea summa cum laude"). In 2003 I started a PhD in Mathematical Physics and Geometry at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, that I completed in october 2007. In may and july 2006 I visited the Erwin Schrödinger Institute, in Vienna, as a predoctoral fellow. From november 2007 to november 2009 I was a postdoctoral researcher in mathematics at the Catholic University of Louvain (LouvainLaNeuve, Belgium). In january 2010 I was hired as a postdoc researcher in SISSA, Trieste. In march 2010 I got a postdoctoral fellowship ("assegno di ricerca") from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", a IRCSET/EMPOWER grant (Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowships) with the chance to spend two years at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), and in april 2010 I got a fellowship from the italian National Institute for Advanced Mathematics ("assegno INdAM"). Already having a position, I decided not to accept these offers. In december 2010 I got a research position at the University of Naples "Federico II", where I'm currently associate professor since october 2015. Scientific interests
My current scientific interest is in noncommutative geometry, quantum groups, and their applications to mathematics and physics. You can download here my Ph.D. dissertation (in pdf format).
