Flight tests

Flight Tests (FT) experimental activities are part of the Master's degree course in Aerospace Engineering. Activities concern fixed-wing transport aircraft, starting from FT objectives, regulations, ISA, FT instrumentation. The FT theoretical and experimental activities are on:

  • Aircraft air data systems
  • Weight and balance,
  • Elements of Airworthiness regulations, flight tests speed,
  • Stall tests,
  • Level flight performance,
  • Flight tests drag polar estimation,
  • Climb flight tests,
  • Take-off and Landing flight tests,
  • Longitudinal stability and control flight tests,
  • Lateral-directional stability and control flight tests,
  • Longitudinal and lateral directional dynamic modes, flight tests reduction, flight qualities levels
  • System identification from flight tests, theory, manouvres, data acquisition,
  • Extreme Flight tests,
  • Noise Flight tests.
