The group comprises L.M. Ricciardi, A. Buonocore, A. Dattolo, P. Festa, M. Longobardi and E. Pirozzi. The research however is being carried out jointly with A. Di Crescenzo, V. Giorno e A.G. Nobile (Università di Salerno), and E. Di Nardo (University of Basilicata).

Research activity centers on the theory of stochastic processes with applications to biomathematics, to service systems and to optimization, as well as to multimedial techniques. It covers various topics in the field of Applied Probability and aims mainly to the development of mathematical methods and tools of a probability-computational nature.

• PRIN2003-MIUR: 2-year project "Methods, Algorithms and Codes for the Analysis and Simulation of Neuronal Units Under Stochastic Evolution and High Reliability Regimes";
• CAMPANIA REGION: "Methods and Mathematical Models for Neuronal Activity and Interaction Within the Acto-Myosin System".
