Valeria Vittorini, Ph.D.
Biographical Notes
I graduated in Mathematics at the University of Naples “Federico II” in 1991 and received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Systems from the same University in 1995. I joined the Department of Computer Science and Systems, where I was a Researcher from 1999. Currently I am Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Research
My current research interests include: computer based critical systems, performance and dependability evaluation of distributed systems, formal modeling, Artificial Intelligence. Recently I served as the Coordinator of the H2020 Shift2Rail project RAILS (Roadmaps for the AI integration in the raiL Sector) and I leaded the CINI Research Unit in the H2020 Shift2Rail project PERFORMINGRAIL (PERformance-based Formal modelling and Optimal tRaffic Management for movING-block RAILway signalling )
