Biographical Notes

Valeria Vittorini graduated in Mathematics at University of Napoli "Federico II"  in 1991 and she received her Ph.D in Computer Science and Systems from the University of Napoli "Federico II" in 1995. She joined the Department of Computer Science and Systems where she was a Researcher from 1999. She is an Associate Professor since October 2005. She has been the Advisor or Co-Advisor of several PhD Theses. She is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Critical Computer-Based Systems  (IJCCBS). She is currently involved in the organization of the 30th International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security (SAFECOMP2011).
Her current research interests include complex and critical systems, performance and dependability evaluation of distributed systems, formal modeling, service orientation. She has published over several journal and conference papers in these and related areas.
