  Scientific Experience
2007-2009 Project Leader of the JET-EP2 Radiation-hard Hall Probe Enhancement Project.
Leader of an applied research project, aiming the realization, installation and testing magnetic field sensors resistent to neutron irradiations in the machine for the study of controlled nuclear fusion, JET. Jointly financed by EURATOM e STCU (www.stcu.int), the project is fruit of an international collaboration between various reaserch entities and laboratories, among which the CREATE Consortium, the RFX Consortium in Padua, the Magnetic Sensor Laboratory of the National Lviv Polytechnic University in Ukraine, the JET Laboratories, the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Republic.
2008 Scientific Coordinator
Scientific Coordinator of two experimental sessions (plus one subsession) of the JET machine, in the framework of the JET EP Magnetic Diagnostic Enhancement Project. The aim was to perform a number of ad-hoc designed dry runs and plasma pulses, in order to obtain data to be used mainly to accurately calibrate the new magnetic diagnostic systems (as well as the established ones) recently installed in the JET machine
2007 Diagnostic support
Partecipation to the experimental campaigns C18 e C19 of the machine for the study of controlled nuclear fusion, JET
2004-2008 Applied research on magnetic diagnostics
Scientific Collaboration with the CREATE Consortium, in the framework of the research activities of interest of the EURATOM-ENEA Association
2004-2006 Research activities at the JET Laboratories (Culham, UK)
Conceptual Design of Magnetic Probes for Tokamaks; Testing of Magnetic Sensors (High Voltage Stress Tests and Termal Cycles for Pickup Coils); Setup of Calibration Systems and Procedures for Calibration of Magnetic Sensors; Cross-validation of different Calibration Equipments and Methods; Calibration and Cross-calibration of Magnetic Sensors; Characterization in Frequency of Magnetic Sensors; Measurements and Analysis on Nonlinear Effects in Magnetic Pickup Coils; Installation of Magnetic Sensors in the JET Machine; Interpretation of Experimental Signals from Magnetic Sensors
2004-2005 Research activities at the CNR (National Research Council) in Padua (RFX Consortium)
Set up of reference source of magnetic field; Design and realisation of precision mechanical components to be used for the calibration of magnetic sensors; Calibration e Cross-calibration of magnetic sensors; Other activities strictly related to the ones above described, performed at the JET Laboratories
2004-2005 Scientific collaboration with the Department of Aerospace Design (DPA), University Federico II
Feasibility study, design, realization and performance analysis of a wireless sensor network for the detection of vibroacoustic/seismic fields in metropolitan environment
