Short Bio
Carlo Cosentino was born in Naples,
Italy, in 1978. He received the Laurea degree (cum Laude) in
Computer Engineering in October 2001, and the PhD in Computer and
Automation Engineering in January 2005, both from University of Naples
"Federico II".
He held a post-doc position at University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro
from June 2005 until March 2006, he has been assistant professor from March 2006
to December 2014 and, since December 2014, associate professor of
systems and control engineering in the School of Computer and Biomedical
Engineering at University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro.
He co-authored the books "Feedback Control in Systems Biology", CRC
Press, 2011, "Finite-Time Stability and Control", Springer, 2014, and more than
90 scientific publications appeared in books,
peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
His current research interests are in the field of systems and control
theory, with particular emphasis on its application to the modelling,
identification, analysis and simulation of biological systems and
biomechatronic devices.
