Fanny Ficuciello has obtained the Laurea degree magna cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 2007 with the thesis: "Control Strategies for Light-Weight robot with elastic joints for a safe and dependable Physical Human-Robot Interaction". She received the Ph.D. degree in Computer and Automation Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II, in November 2010 with thesis title "Modelling and Control for Soft Finger Manipulation and Human-Robot Interaction". From September to March 2010 she was a visiting scholar in the Control Engineering Group at the University of Twente (Netherlands) under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Stramigioli. Currently she is a Post-Doc at University of Naples Federico II.

Her research interests include:

human-robot interaction between humans and assisting robots co-worker on professional service scenarios (household robots, robotic surgery, etc.) (mainly in the framework of the EU FP7 SAPHARI project).

neurorobotics, biomechanics and bionics, expecially for grasping and manipulation with hand-arm and dual-hand/arm robotic systems (mainly in the framework of the EU FP7 DEXMART project).

lightweight flexible arms, (mainly in the framework of the EU FP7 PRIENDS project).
