Flavio Frattini was Manager (CTO) at the "Cosmopol Group", one of the biggest physical security company in Italy.
Flavio Frattini was Managing Director at "CNS Scarl", an Italian company working on monitoring systems for security and safety, and environment.
Formerly, Frattini was CEO at "RisLab - Research and Innovation for Security Lab", a startup company working on R&D related at the improvement of security (both cyber and physical) and dependability of safety critical and business critical systems.

Flavio Frattini received a PhD in Computer Enegineering from the Federico II University of Naples (Italy) with a thesis entitled "Consumability Analysis of Batch Processing Systems".

He worked in the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e delle Tecnologie dell'Informazione (Electric and Computer Engineering Department) at the Federico II University and as an active collaborator of the CINI-ITEM "Carlo Savy" Laboratory of Naples (CINI is a consortium of 38 Italian Universities, based in Rome).
Frattini was a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University (Durham, NC, USA), working with prof. Kishor S. Trivedi.
In 2011, he was a Research Fellow in the Institute for High-Performance Computing and Networking (ICAR) at National Research Council (CNR) of Italy.
