I obtained the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science both with honours (cum laude) from the University of Naples Federico II. The B.Sc. thesis concerned "A BDI Agent for block world scenes recognition", while the M.Sc. thesis concerned "Adaptive and Periodic Control Systems for Robots" (in Italian). Then from 2009 until 2011, I prepared a PhD thesis entitled "Attentional Mechanism for Sensory-motor Coordination in Behavior-based Robotic Systems" under the supervision of Professors Bruno Siciliano (of the Computer and Automation Engineering Department of the University of Naples Federico II) and Ernesto Burattini (of the Computer Science Department of the University of Naples Federico II) . During my PhD I spent a period of six months in the SIMA (Integrated, Mobile and Autonomous System) group under the supervision of Agnès Guillot at the ISIR (Institut des Systèmes Intelligents et de Robotique) of the University of "Pierre et Marie Curie" in Paris, France. I am currently a postdoc at the Computer and Automation Engineering Department of the University of Napoli Federico II. I am member of PRISMA (Projects of industrial and service robotics, mechatronics and automation) a research group on industrial robotics headed by Prof. Bruno Siciliano and of the PRISCA (Projects of intelligent robotics and advanced cognitive systems) group, making research in the fields of cognitive robotics and artificial intelligence.
