Pierluigi Della Vecchia was born in Avellino, Italy, on April 13, 1984. He received the Master degree in Aerospace Engineering and the Ph.D degree in Aerospace, Naval and Quality Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 2008 and 2013, respectively. From 2008 he works at the Department of Aerospace Engineering(from 2013 Department of Industrial Engineering) of the University of Naples Federico II, where he is currently Assistant Professor in Flight Mechanics. His research interests include Aircraft Design, Aerodynamic Design and Optimization, Wind-Tunnel tests, Flight-Tests and Aircraft Certification. He published several journal and conference papers.
