I'm or I have been 

- the PI of the Research project: “NM2: Network Monitoring and Measurement” - Art. 11, law 593/2000, Funded project for the start up of an academic spin-off of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR).
- the scientific coordinator of the Platino-Form project.
- the Local Coordinator of UniNA research unit and he has been MC Substitute for Italy within the EU COST Action IC0703 "Data Traffic and Monitoring Analysis”, funded by the EU during the years 2008-2012.
- the Local Coordinator of CINI-UniNA research unit within the EU Network of Excellence Content, funded by the EU during the years 2006-2009.

In the role of Scientific Coordinator and Principal Investigator (PI),  I coordinate and I have coordinated several research projects funded by third-party industries in the areas of network measurement and multimedia:

  •   - Google Faculty Award for the UBICA (User-Based Internet Censorship Analysis) research project.
  •   - "Tecniche Innovative per misure su Reti IP", within a research grant between Dipartimento di Informatica e Sistemistica and Seven One Solution srl (Roma, Italy).
  •   - "Metodologie e Tecniche per il monitoraggio di reti 3G/4G", within a research grant between CINI and ACCANTO Systems srl (Modena, Italy).
  •   - "Metodologie e Tecniche per il monitoraggio di rete in ambito satellitare", within a research grant between CINI and Alto Sistemi srl (Torino, Italy).
  •   - "Progettazione ed implementazione di una piattaforma distribuita per il monitoraggio di reti IP Satellitari", within a research grant between CINI and Skylogic spa (Torino, Italy).
  •   - "Metodologie e Tecniche per il monitoraggio di rete su reti IP eterogenee", within a research grant between CINI and Seven One Solution srl (Roma, Italy).
  •   - "Analisi dei sistemi di produzione dei contenti in online social network", within a research grant between CINI and Technologybiz srl (Napoli, Italy).
